The terminal was built between 1977 and 1978, receiving the first vessel in 1979.
Originally, it had 6 tanks and a capacity of 93,000 m3.

In 1997 the Truck Dispatch Plant was built, with a dispatch capacity of four trucks simultaneously as well as three new tanks, operating by this time, with 9 tanks and a capacity of 101,800 m3.

In 2005 started the construction of two berths, dismantling the old structure and constructing the two berths completely in reinforced concrete on bored piles.

In 2007 started of the construction of what we call Phase I of the extension of the Tanks, with a capacity of 25,440 m3 distributed in four tanks. Once this stage of construction was over and then started up, it began to operate with 13 tanks.

In 2008 started the construction of what we call Phase II of the extension of tanks, with a capacity of 54,140 m3 distributed in 8 tanks. During 2008 the truck dispatch capacity was enlarged, allowing, at present, to dispatch 6 trucks simultaneously and leaving the installation in such condition as to be able to increase the dispatch capacity of two more trucks, letting us operate with 8 trucks simultaneously.

In 2012 started the construction of what we call Phase III of the extension of tanks, with a capacity of 24,900 m3 distributed in 3 tanks
